Tissot gentleman powermatic 80 is worth taking a look at as  well,  it's a tad bit more expensive though, but it's an amazing choice for a one watch collection type of a thing. Besides those two, pieces only the Longines Conquest (much closer to PRX Powermatic 80 in price if you opt for quartz) comes to mind that has a somewhat reasonable price, for those great sports pieces that can do it all, although my knowledge is pretty limited. Overall, the PRX piece is hard to go wrong with, it pretty much has everything going for it. However, if there's one suggestion I'd give is that if there's a possibility, definitely try it on your wrist, try as many options on your wrist as you can. I've seen pieces online that I thought were nothing special but at the AD they instantly won me over.

Yeah, of course. Rolex watches are great when you get them at MSRP, especially something like a Daytona, that's a great watch for the price. Other times, not so much.

What are your general views on Rolex in general including the market for the watches?

If you can get it at MSRP. There's a reason why as soon as you walk out of the AD with it, it's worth 3 times the price. Almost nobody can, just like many other Rolexes these days.

These bots do not go for free, but rather cost a lot of money. Nobody is better than anyone at "preparing" you cannot "prepare" when it comes to buying online. You can cheat, but you cannot prepare. More often than not it's luck based. Lets not pretend that it's fair, because it's not.

Because that's not usually how it works. Scalpers set up their bots and often times they snatch the watches before a person can. What if a customer waits 4 days before the release on the website and then when he presses buy the website is down due to traffic, does he not deserve it? It wasn't his fault the website went down. These type of sales online are unfair to an average person and there's a lot of factors that play into it that are entirely out of the customers control.

Nowadays Rolex prices are stepping into territory where JLC, Patek, AD, Lange & Sohne reside. In terms of quality there's no way they match them, but the brand is most of the price these days, especially with the recent rise of Rolex prices. If I had to choose between buying an JLC Reverso or a Rolex or even an Omega, it's a really choice for me. Not to mention going a step above into Vacheron Constantin watches and so on.
