I don’t think i’ve heard a single instance in history ( to my knowledge ) and I feel this should have been attempted by now . Scenario of someone , being late for work , deciding to throw a hail mary - to take one for the team because fuck it - and in the process become a legend. It’s a very low percentage strategy so hear me out : IF the HR manager is a watch lover , you might get away with
“ I mistakenly threw on an automatic this morning and as soon as it touched my wrist, I got mesmerized by the sweep of the seconds hand coming back to life .As I finally regained my composure I just forgot to set the time again and I swear I thought it was only 3:18am, you know how it is” . And casually keep making your way towards your office
And if it turns that line shockingly doesn’t get you a High five and to now be referred to as “ My man “ by using Denzel’s voice , well at least you’ll become a legend to your friends after you tell the story of how you got fired .
So there’s that .
Just think of it as your ace in the hole, the next time you’re late, again and you feel it might once too many. Think of someone else for a change and all the little guys who have to deal with Karen of HR this morning .

Might need to tweak the logo a bit haha
in this case you could even get the Rolex one no one would call you out ;)
This looks like something Mr. Jones would release. Though the snob in me would change it to “I’m too rich to need to be on time” 🤣😂
@SpecKTator The original OEM Under “ relax “ is a nice mix of clever and steam punk . The marking change “ Oyster perpetual “ for “ it’ s not what you think” , and it’s crazy how random but visually similar those 2 phrases look the “ chronometer certified - 300 m resistance - swiss made “ text is replaced by “ hand washed certified - 3,28 ft. = 0.9 m - Garage assembled” which is both estheticially matching the rolex marking proportions . And I’m not sure which one of those 3 is funnier .
