Jaeger-LeCoultre Duoface Reverso Tribute

Got the JLC Reverso a few weeks ago. Finally today I took some pictures of it on my wrist with a suit. The watch is so elegant and dressy, and I think it goes well with a suit. The Reverso was initially designed for polo players and thus was originally more a sport watch. I am glad that it has somehow become a dress watch since then.

Before I saw the watch in person, I used to love the blue dial but did not like the silver dial much. I felt it was a bit feminine for a man's watch. I was not sure I should get the Monoface or the Duoface version. The Monoface is more faithful to the original design. But I would not engrave the back anyway. So, spending a bit more to get a second dial sounded like a good deal to me.

Then, after seeing it in person, perhaps because of the reflection of the light, I found the silver dial even more stunning. I no longer found the silver dial too feminine but just elegant. I love both sides, but I now love the silver dial even more. So, it became a no-brainer for me to get the Duoface version.

My wife also likes the silver dial, and we ordered a shorter strap for her, so we can wear this watch at different times by just changing the strap. But I think the watch is a bit too big for a lady though. But she really wants it.. to be a good husband, I always say yes. 😊

So, what do you think? Do you think it goes well with a suit? What dial would you prefer, blue or silver?

Good move in choosing Duo and a very nice combination of the dial's colours. You will enjoy the watch, believe me 👍👍

I like both colours, and would change sides depending on my mood and clothing.

Aww man thats a beauty, I wish I had the money for one myself. This really is my grail watch.

Well done ( although I'm envious as hell )

Beautiful. I own this exact model. I LOVE it and it is my daily driver. The silver side reminds me of the Atoms clocks. The blue side is stunning. The hands are so polished and sparkle.

Hi, Biggle, thank you for your kind words, but hey.. no need to be envious.. 😉

The Reverso is indeed an expensive watch. It has been on my want list for quite a while before I finally got the chance to get one. Getting this watch means no travel, no vacation, and no other big expense for me and my wife this year! But luckily, my wife agrees, as she also finds the watch stunning and is willing to give up something else for this beautiful timepiece!

The Atoms clocks are also VERY interesting creation. I have never heard of this until I browsed the JLC website.
