It started with me wanting to look at my phone less, and remembering the simple childhood joy of looking down at my watch!
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
I know it was an old G-Shock in the early 80s but I can't remember much beyond that.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
My skeletonized pocket watch I bought when I was 18 on a school trip in London from Canada. It was from a dingy shop in Soho for 5 pounds. It's a Sutus 17 Jewel that I've replaced the spring on 5 times and I love it.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Figure out what kind of "watch person" you are. If you're a collector, a minimalist, a flipper... No matter what, it's valid! Figuring it out just makes your life easier (and cheaper) 😉.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Vaer. Solidly Vaer. So much so I flipped my entire watch collection.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I don't believe in a grail watch. Wear what you wear, love what you love.
