Of the original three self-winding chronographs that debuted in 1969 (two other being the Seiko 6139 and the Caliber 11), only the El Primero remains in production. For anyone who loves vintage-inspired watches, the Zenith El Primero Chronomaster 38mm is a faithful reproduction of one of the great classic chronographs of all time. A 38-mm steel case is matching the dimensions of the 1969 original reference, so it's very wearable. This reference uses the Caliber 400 movement with a frequency of 36,000 VpH. Here we have it on our Two-Stitch Coal strap.
There are a lot of El Primero color variations, which one is your favorite?

I’m a sucker for a blackout look so the shadow gets my vote.

This looks fantastic, didn't have a chance of trying it out yet thought 😅 But I've heard it wears great!
If/when I have the funds to expand my collection, I’d love something like this.
My dream watch 😫
My next purchase for sure.
