Very seasonal for me. I wear mostly nato or rubber in the summer and bracelets or leather in the cooler months. I wish I could wear bracelets year-round but I don't find them comfortable in the heat.
I love both. Some watches look better on a metal bracelet, other better on a leather strap, others on a NATO strap, and some are strap monsters. I like to vary, but in general I tend to stay closer to what originally the watch would come with/designed for. Like, a field watch with a metal bracelet can look nice, but it needs a NATO strap. Divers look elegant with a leather strap, but the metal bracelet gives it the classic look. Pilots with leather bund strap or leather strap with rivets, specially a distressed, old leather look on point.

I generally keep my collection with a 50/50 split between bracelets and straps.
