Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
Bough a seiko and who stops at one seiko?
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Besides an old seiko my Pops got me when I was 14 (Still have), a Seiko SRPD59K1 - orange dial. Got the itch.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
seiko 6309 7040 - all original - never worn. Bought from a friendly Japanese retiree who was gifted the watch for his 40 years of service to a company. Rare find.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Do not make quick or rash decisions. Research the watch and be patient for a good deal. Pictures can be deceiving.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Seiko, Spinnacker, Baltany, Orient, Timex
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I should probably say Rolex here but for the life of me cant justify the cost. Has to be the Seiko Prosprex Sea Automatic GMT - Green | SPB381J1, but we will see what tomorrow brings.
