Last of the Smiley Faces.
This is my new Black Bay 41. I managed to get this new at 2/3 retail price when an AD was selling off their last one of the outgoing model (which I personally much prefer). This was going to be my Christmas present, as I didn’t want to risk not appreciating two new watches enough alongside the Hanhart 417ES.
However, my wife chose to give it to me in commemoration of the recent passing of our beloved Chocolate Labrador, Boo, who only a week before had celebrated her 16th birthday in great spirits. This was one of the saddest days of my life, but hopefully (eventually) seeing the smiley face on this beautiful watch will remind me of all the fantastic times the three of us shared over the past 16 years, and make me smile over and over again.
