My Vintage Seiko Adventure Begins

Thanks to the beautiful posts here on WatchCrunch which inevitably led to the Seiko VINTAGE Watches group on FB, all it took to tip me off the ledge and down the rabbit hole was an eBay account. So here I find myself... the wonderful world of vintage Seiko watches.

I'm a product of the 1960's and besides watches, I also collect midcentury modern barware and furniture.  Expanding my passion to watches was no big leap.

After many hours of perusing eBay I came across this beauty from Japan, a 1962 Seiko Champion 19J Ref:15026E. I was struck by its brilliant starburst dial but it came with with several cracks on the crystal which I just had replaced today. Strapped with a Tuns golden yellow leather strap,  I'm delighted that this is my first vintage Seiko.

Thank you. It came with a Bambi Fixo Flex bracelet that was WAYYYY too small to fit on my wrist and I had done a great deal of comparison research of straps and bracelets and this particular color/material really intrigued me.
