Sent this one off to Bienne Switzerland. Proved that back to factory is the way to go!
What do you think?? Back to factory or local watchmaker??
Depends on the watch. I would only use factory service for my Omegas, Breitling, and Glashutte Original watches. I like the added provenance that a clear, factory service history gives my watches in the event I ever decided to sell. For my Ball watches I’d feel fine with a quality local watchmaker because those movements are ETA 2892 based, and Ball isn’t so much in the factory service business in the US. My homage watches use Seiko movements, and I’d just have them replaced as opposed to servicing. Same with my Seikos.
