Does anyone here have a Bremont?

So I've been thinking about this brand and looking at some of their watches in 40mm...I just don't know too much about them other than having something to do with pilot ejecto seats and aviation backgrounds.

Does anyone here have a Bremont and if you could give me some thoughts of what you think of it ? I'm trying to fill a GMT spot this year...

Hahaha I guess not a lot of Bremont around. I'm still intrigued...

Bremont uses an ETA with a GMT module, which is, like all of its clones, a caller GMT. You can find plenty of GMT travelers for the money. I don’t mind ETA movements, the point is that GMT here is has a lot of competition out there

I handled a few of their watches, and they made good impression on me, they have charm, but between ETA movement and the price tag edging on Tudor territory they make little sense to me. And their new CEO knows that. Expect cheaper new models and new in-house GMT later this year

Yeah I agree the price point is high compared to what's available within competition. I appreciate the response.

I have to confess, I have a couple of Bremont’s in my collection and I haven't ever had any regrets of purchasing them.

I would also have to add with myself being an engineer who's worked with metals most of his life, the quality of finish to the cases are outstanding.

Hopefully, I'm not biased regarding them because they are just down the road from where I live and I also had the opportunity of a private tour of the factory at the end of 2022.

If it feels good on your wrist, then go for it, it's not going to fall to pieces and the movements placed into them can be serviced easily I believe.

Awesome to hear! I've always wondered how the trip-tick (hope I said that right) case looks and feel. I'll probably look around and see if I can try some on to fill my curiosity

I have a Bremont Martin Baker that was a special edition from way, way back. It's a super rugged build, and the knurled midcase gives it an engineering/machined look and feel. I do lust for some of their other pieces, and you can get them at quite a steep discount when buying second-hand on the forums, but many of their designs are bland, very dated, or uninspired, IMHO. Their new CEO has a plan to revamp the entire line and bring prices down, so maybe wait until Watches & Wonders (April 13 to 15) - he says they're unveiling a completely new line at that show.

Thanks for the input; I'll keep my eye out on watches and wonder this year.

I've got a few Bremonts and have never experienced buyers remorse. Granted, I got most on the second hand market. With that said, they've got a great story - which I know the validity of is quite hotly debated. As far as I'm concerned they are going to huge lengths to manufacture all of their watches in the U.K and rectify the in house movement debacle they had. They also seem to work with ambassadors that really live and breathe their brand ethos. I happen to respect what the English brothers are doing overall and therefore am a fan of the brand. That said, they're definitely not for everyone, and I can certainly get behind some of the contentions around their RRP.

I've always been intrigued with their in house and UK representation. I gotta get my hands on some and just feel it out. But I agree it seems that most who have it love it
