Are melon watches a sub-trend of green watches?

Just yesterday, I asked here at Watchcrunch your opinion about the new Aquitaine by Giorgio Armani, ah sorry, by Christopher Ward ๐Ÿ˜œ. In that post, I had a quick conversation with our friend @bevelwerks about other relatively similar watches. That brought me a question "Are melon watches a sub-trend of green watches?". Here are the pieces of evidence:

How many years apart are the releases?ย

I suspect white and green is just a natural combination companies come to, like blue and orange, or black and yellow.ย

No clue if it may be a sub trend but I do enjoy the color combination of a cream/sand with green. That Laventure is really calling my name ๐Ÿ˜‚ but the CW has really come close with their new release. If they bring it to a GMT I may finally make the plunge and buy my first CW. ๐Ÿ‘Œ
