Which watch would you get if you had up to $2,500?

I'm showing specific models that I like, but any variation of the Seiko Willard, Oris Aquis, and Zodiac Super Sea Wolf GMT can work. Also which watch would you potentially get with the leftover money?

Still A Keeper 6 Months Later?

Awesome selection of watches in the wild, although I have to catch up on your last few posts. I absolutely love that generation of seamasters I used to own a current gen 42mm SMP300 and sold it bc it wasnt getting enough wrist time at that moment. Selling that was my only true watch selling regret of the 30+ that I've sold off and its the only watch that I would ever consider rebuying. BUT the 2254 makes me rethink the situation bc of the slightly smaller case alongside the unique and old school dial and handset. And of course the bracelet on the 2254 is far superior to the current non tapering variation. That PO and the variant with the orange numerals are in the running as well. This conundrum will be on going for god knows how long lol! All I know is that I need an Omega diver back in my life at some point.

Also I'm so happy to see that your are enjoying the SM 62MAS so much! It really is an incredible watch and it was my 2nd most worn watch of 2022, losing out to the Black Bay Pro by only a few days! I agree with all your thoughts, whenever I see it close up i simply cant believe that it costs about $250 only. The bezel feel and the definition of the hands and indices are what really gets me. I hope it keeps bringing you joy as you continue to wear bc mine keeps bringing me joy to this day!

That really means a lot to me! I gotta say it's nice to read about real watches from real people as opposed to full on reviews (although they have their place of course😁). Sometimes it's nice to know that watches are actually being bought and worn in real life! The big watch publications should take note!

Looool yeah you sold the joke the moment a GS was put on the chopping block for the Ultra😅

Weirdly enough it's experience made me buy a cheap apple watch to wear opposite of my real watches and it's timing capabilities could potentially allow me to indulge in time only watches instead of wearing divers all the time!

The Vaer solar quartz diver (ds4?) has been on my list for a long while but I just don't seem to get around to actually buying one!!! One day soon hopefully.

Also the Apple Watch Ultra is awesome I've had it for nearly 2 months now and it's a joy to wear. The main thing that struck me about it is that as an object it's just so cool and weirdly well finished AND it actually feels like a watch. To me regular apple watches feel like small gadgets/fitness trackers whereas the Ultra feels like a modern day tool watch that doubles as a wrist computer. I don't say this often but Apple has done well with this one!

Glad to hear you enjoyed the journey of my 925! I do miss it every once in a while but I'm happy knowing that the new owner is giving it an active life that just wasn't happening with me😁

Also really awesome series you've got here and it's cool that you run into so many people with interesting watches in the wild! I'm always staring at people's wrists lol but I rarely see anything unfortunately. I'm off to reading your other posts!

ah yeah sucks that Tudor continues to have waitlists! I feel like the wait shouldnt be too long all things considered, so I've got my fingers crossed for you😀

Yeah, the thickness on paper is chunky but it seems like most people are ok when its actually on the wrist so hopefully it works for you! So it depends really on the shirt cuff in question and how loose or tight you wear your cuffs. I cant stand tight watches and the same thing goes for cuffs so my BB Pro did manage to slide under the cuff although sometimes i had to adjust it slightly.

That being said i find it easier to slip under than my speedy just bc the side of the BB Pro is relatively smooth whereas the bezel of the speedy juts out and catches on everything lol!
