A very interesting article. Yes the f91 is iconic but for me it's too small and just looks ridiculous on my 7 and a bit inch wrist. I am a casio fan and have several but the f91 is not for me I'm afraid. The casio royale or the Mission Impossible watch are much more my cup of tea.

This is my alternative for the F91, the DW291. It has the toughness of the DW290 combined with the aesthetic of the AE1200, all for between $20 and $30. One of the truly unappreciated Casio budget watches, in my opinion.

Good article, sir. I have a F91W that I bought for £1 without a strap. New battery, quick polish and replacement strap and I was done and it does occasionally get some wrist time.

A good alternative is my W-218. Bigger display, G-Shock looks, great backlight, and a sounder even I can hear. Oh, cheap too.

I have 7.25” wrists and think the 91 looks fine, having said that, I prefer small watches. I have the Royale and MI watches in my collection too, they’re both great choices. 👍

I’ve thought about adding the 291 to my collection a few times, but I’m just not a fan of the pushers on this one. Overall I think the Royale is the better looking watch.

I have the 218 in my collection too, albeit in green. It’s a great watch but I’d consider is more a budget alternative to a DW5600/5610 than an F91.

Oh, I like the Royale and have one in my collection.

I also have an AE1300 as well. I just think the DW291 as an everyday/beater watch is the most durable budget Casio in my collection, making it the best budget replacement for the F91.

p.s. I have to disagree on the pushers; they are one of the features I like. They are so easy to use.
