I like it a lot. It has an on-the-fly adjustable clasp and it doesn’t have an Oyster-style bracelet like a lot of other San Martins.

I know what you mean and I did do that in the past but there’s still just a very minor misalignment. Most of the time it’s not even noticeable.

I found the same thing with my Seiko Speedtimer. I was a bit disappointed with it at first... but now it's one of my favourites!

I can almost look past its misaligned chrono-hand at this point lol.

This is my experience with hobbies as well and I'm sure it will be the same for me with watches. I was really into mechanical keyboards for a while. Eventually, I built a custom one (my exit keyboard) that I always use and I stopped hunting for new ones. Excited to see what my exit watch will be for sure 🙂

I have a 1953 that I only wore for a few hours but reading this made me put it back on. I've lost my buyer's remorse and everything! 😄

As a side note, I swapped out the bracelet on mine with the one from my Pro Diver which I think is more comfortable. IMHO the polished middle links look pretty good with the polished chamfered edges.
