Yeah, they get to do whatever they want. That said, this watch is a little…random I guess? Like why use numbers for hour markers if you can only fit the 9 and 12? And then a little AM/PM window near 9 but not lined up with anything. Small subdial at 3 and big subdial at 7 is also odd. Add in the fact i rarely love two crowns and this one has me baffled. Why not put the city window at 1 or 10 or something while we’re just throwing things on the dial? And I’m sure I really don’t want to know the price.
I feel like this watch would get universally panned if it came from almost anyone else.
I'm doing a bit of research on JLC's Geographic line-up and must admit that the Compressor version is a bit of a jumble. The massive crowns combined with the delicate subdials and the city ring do not really work for me. And, as has been pointed out, the two numerals on the dial is an odd choice. Same for the tacked on am/pm window. Having said all that, I think the 1st generation master control geographic (ref 169.1.92) in either gold or platinum is one of the most beautiful watches ever made:
Lots of complications / subdials going on, but presented and executed beautifully.

JLC are a great brand for sure
I am a BIG fan of the Master Compressor line but I feel like it's very model dependent. Some look great. Others... not so much.
This is my MC GMT with a hidden hand. Good article overall on the masculine side of JLC: https://www.ablogtowatch.com/jaeger-lecoultre-master-compressor-chronograph-ceramic-watch/2/

Been looking at the model you have on your wrist for a while. Really nice
Thanks! It's been a fantastic watch and is actually with JLC getting serviced at the moment.
