Congrats on your first child! I like the plan to commemorate with a watch that you might pass down one day. I think the Lorier Astra would be a nice option. It fills a similar spot as the Baltic, but feels a bit sportier with the bracelet. Think it’s also pretty timeless and something your daughter could wear on a strap 20 years from now. Congrats again and keep us posted on what you go with!
Looks good on the strap! Is that rubber or leather? Was trying to find a good strap to switch things up.
I like the look of the bracelet and it’s super comfortable and adjustable, but my only gripe is that I wish the clasp hit me further towards the inside of the wrist. With my 6.5” wrists, it’s hits on the side and is visible from a top-down view 🥲
I hear you on it feeling a little incomplete. In some ways I think the lack of branding plays a big role here. It’s also simple/boring in a similar way to the explorer dial. That said, I find the dial to be pretty mesmerizing in person. I wasn’t sure how it would be based on pictures, but the dial and case profiles are probably my favorite parts of the watch after experiencing firsthand. It’s also super legible which is a nice bonus.
