This is a Doxa “Oversized” at 36mm from the 50s. Exactly the model my grandpa used to wear on a leather bund strap. One of my favorites in the collection.
Don’t get me wrong, I have no intention of owning this. Just thought it was fun to try it on, and it was actually interesting, an aluminum case and bracelet with carats and carats of diamonds. It shouldn’t work (and probably doesn’t in real life) but it was fun to put on for a few minutes.
If you are into micro brands, I would suggest the Baltic Aquascaphe or the Maen Brooklyn 36 triple calendar. Unimatic is cool too. These are way under your budget and are amazing. Otherwise I’d say save up a bit of money and get a Tudor. You won’t regret spending a bit more and it will last a lifetime. And worst case if you don’t like it you can sell and not lose a lot of value.
