Jura watches / CW Sellors

So, on Thursday of last week, I ordered a watch, for a gift, marked as in stock, with next day delivery. So I went ahead and ordered. Confirmation email arrives, expected delivery 12th Jan. Happy with that, nice watch, great price.

Wait in all day Friday, no delivery. Come to think of it, no dispatch notification. So email, for an update. Get a reply Saturday morning. They've no stock of the watch, and one can be ordered, but it'll take several weeks. Unfortunately, the birthday the watch is for is Wednesday, and my friend who lives overseas, is flying back Thursday. So, I phone customer service, explain my disappointment and urgency. Went for an alternative that was apparently in stock. Expected delivery, Monday 15th (today). Again no dispatch notification, and no delivery.

3 telephone calls later, the replacement, you've guessed it, is not in stock, they can order one, but it'll be several weeks.....

Can I really be this unlucky, twice in a row? So I googled the reviews, and it would seem this is common practise.

After my third conversation, I opted for a refund, but again, this seemed vague to when it would happen, with the gentleman saying its been requested. I asked for an email confirmation, but that was dismissed.

Has anyone else had dealings with this company, it's left a very bitter taste and I'm beginning to wonder whether the refund will be processed promptly.

I have ordered before. In my case, I knew that the watch wasn’t in stock, but was told at date of order that it would be 6 weeks from mid-February. By the end of May there was still no sign, so I cancelled the order.

I seem to remember that their procedure for refunds involves a phone call when they’ll invite you to switch to something different, potentially with a discount. They won’t just process the refund without a call.

Very quick to accept the order, couldn't care less about the fulfilment.

Yes. Balance that against competitive prices and a good selection of brands. You pay your money; you make your choice!

I bought a watch from them that was in their sale ,I decided to ring and reserve it and drive 2hrs to collect it,I also wanted to try it on as it was not my usual shape and material, the showroom was very nice as was the SA ,the only small niggle I had was they didn't set the correct time or date

I've bought two watches from them, the first was shown as in stock and arrived on schedule, the second was a special order from the factory as I wanted optional AR and it arrived as promised.

I just bought a watch from them today and whilst the page said they were in stock with delivery tomorrow, when I looked after purchasing it said call them for delivery. So I called and they had the cheek to tell me someone must have just bought the last one between me looking at the watch online and purchasing. So i refreshed the page and it is still saying in stock. They said around 7 days to get the watch sent from manufacturer. I immediately emailed them to complain. Can hardly believe I am seeing this post!

They are a bit of a joke

And they tried to hard sell me. I put the watch in the basket this morning and went through some of the details to make sure they had the 15% off this watch. Then went to work. They emailed me about lunchtime asking me to complete the sale, and then called me this afternoon!

I've a feeling this is common practise with them. But it's certainly not a great way to retain customers who remain loyal. I Just hope my refund is straight forward. I'll not be using them again.

I've called them this morning and explained that I have no confidence in them to be able to fulfill the order or to provide decent service if I have a problem in the future. I have asked for a refund and been told the money will be in my account in 5-7 working days. I will not purchase from them again.

Sorry to hear that, but that's a valid point. If there customer service is lacking at point of sale, what would it be like if repairs were needed. It's ironic, considering their website boasts of exemplary customer service.

I did get my money back after about 5 days which is fine. I complained to the manufacturer as they are an AD. Went to Beverbrooks a few days later and got the watch, lovely service, price matched a legit retailer, lovely.

Glad to hear you eventually got sorted. My request for a refund didn't go so smoothly. Eventually I ended up asking my cc company to intervene. So the transaction was cancelled. Hopefully this won't be contested by the company. That's two customers they've lost!
