Was always interested but took the plunge probably because I was bored one day...

Seiko Sports100 Quartz. Bought in high school 40 years ago, and still have it, and still love it

Don't be swayed by the illusion and allure of brands. Just go on your own journey and appreciate watches for what they are and what they mean to you.
