Q: How did you get into watch collecting?

Just be honest; unlike a girl, a man can only wear a watch as his jewelry. You can tell a lot about a man without even talking to him just by looking at his watch collections. I started with simply having one watch. But then again, as Kevin O'Leary says, “watch collecting is a disease; once you are cursed with it, your life is miserable.”

Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?

I was just joking around about snagging a Vacheron Overseas back then. You gotta know the background: despite being a loyal customer, they treated me like crap. Every time I asked about a watch, it was the same old story – impossible. So, I playfully asked for a Vacheron Overseas with a blue dial, even though I knew it wasn't available. Then, just for fun, I said, "If you've got the tourbillon version, I'll pay up front." Now, I'm the happy owner of a Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon.

Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?

Watch collecting can be expensive, but it can also serve as an investment. If you choose the right timepiece, your purchase can be “somewhat” justified. 🤣

Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?

Richar Mille. Having owned several steel watches from brands like Rolex, AP, Patek, VC, and Omega, I discovered that the lightweight nature of a titanium case and the comfort of the tonneau case from RM are what truly keep me loyal to RM. Honestly, it's challenging to go back to much heavier gold or steel watches afterward.

Q: What is your grail watch and why?

Richard Mille RM27-02 Black NTPT Unlike other coveted tourbillon Richard Mille pieces, such as the skull, the mask, or the sapphire, this particular grail doesn't demand excessive attention. Its discreet presence and compact case size allow it to go undercover, avoiding unnecessary scrutiny. But when you know, you know.
