I picked this up on eBay for under $100 because I loved the arrow seconds hand. I wore it all day yesterday and it kept time remarkably well. As a photographer, it’s been fun to learn more about Ricoh as a watch maker rather than a camera manufacturer.
My absolute all time fav is the GrIIIx. Granted over the last year I have not had the chance to use it much.
Looking to get back at it in the new year.
Fantastic watch btws, have several in my eBay watchlist.
I’ve been so tempted by the GRIIIX. And thank you. The watch has been fantastic. I’ve been wearing it again all day today and haven’t had any issues. Still keeping great time.

I much prefer the tighter angles of the IIIx. Prefer to focus on a subject in a scene in the street, rather than capturing the whole scene if that makes sense.
I get why a lot prefer the wider angle tho.
Also it's great for more intimate family type photos.
Yes I know you can crop in with Lightroom, but I prefer SOC and film simulations.

I totally get it. I tend to carry a 28mm and a 50mm with me when I’m traveling because I like the flexibility. The 40/50 field of view is beautiful.
