I picked this up for about $20 and it's a nice chunky Casio that feels like it can take a beating. I call mine "The Casio Equalizer" since it reminds me of the "Suunto Core All Black" that Denzel Washington wears in The Equalizer franchise. (If you know a Casio that is even closer to the Suunto in appearance, let me know)
This one is in grey, has the inverted screen, and some "serious business" design language. It has 5 alarms, an hourly chime, a countdown timer, a stopwatch, a 10-year battery, and dual-time. The bracelet is designed to spring and absorb shock. It's also water resistant to 100 meters. There's even a bit of protection for the crystal thanks to it being recessed. Thanks to the display being so large, it's fairly easy to read, even with the inverted colors.
It's a very functional bit of chunky wrist-wear :)
It's one of my many super-affordable "Non-Shocks" that are damn close to a G-Shock.
I didn't have a "blackout" Casio so I "needed" to get this one when I saw it on sale. Seems they usually go for $25-$30 (USD). Which is not a bad price for the amount of sturdiness and functionality you get.

It’s definitely a G in sheeps clothing. At first glance, I though it was a smart watch. The negative display is pure cool. It’s a stealth watch, and a hundred water resistance; G-Shock lite.

These "pseudo G-Shocks" at budget prices are fun 🙂

Hmmm... I've thought about doing that with a Casio before... Maybe 🙂 Someday :)

You should. Change your $20 Casio into $40k Ressence Type 3 watch with 1000+ meters water resistant.

Hmmm... I'll add it to my list of little projects I'd like to work on 🙂
Can I ask, what size you wrist is? 🙂
