I don't really know about the competition. I just think it's a fantastic watch, I wear mine all the time. The fireball is a really cool colorway

Thanks! There are a lot of neat micro brand divers around $500, so I guess I just end up wondering where to settle. But the Fireball keeps coming out on top for me just in terms of preference, so it’s probably the route I’ll go. Glad you like yours, it’s a great color way too! I absolutely love the fade from blue to white on the dial. Just doesn’t strike me as a “me” watch.

I'm never going to claim this watch is better than other watches, nor would I suggest the vibrant color choices are for everyone... I really want it to come out in a peach, salmon, or pink.
It is absolutely worth the $425 that I paid for it. It has been very accurate, the lug width and curve is comfortable, the dial and applied indices are good quality. I get a ton of compliments when I wear it.
If you cannot get the orange out of your head, then don't be concerned you are getting a bad product
