SEIKO SZSC005, aka “Jade Monster”
Today's wear is the SEIKO SZSC005, aka the “Jade Monster”.
While not everyone's cup of tea because of its aggressive looks and the somewhat bulky appearance, it is actually a surprisingly wearable watch.
The one-piece "can" bezel has the effect of shrinking the apparent case length, minimizing the visual impact of the watch once on the wrist. The broad bezel achieves a similar visual effect.
The "Jade" is a limited edition from the third generation of the SEIKO "Monster" and is quite sought after by collectors.
It has the best caliber of all the generations and the greenish dial colour is chameleonic, changing wildly depending on the light.
