When you handle Kryptonite...

Finally, after much searching, I was able to handle the new Tudors in Germany. The ranger was just a dork of a 39mm field watch - the dial layout just feels inflated with no real elegance. The beautiful oyster bracelet however would definitely pair well with the BB 58.

And then there was the BB Pro. On paper it packs a punch--the complications, the look, and price are hard to beat. But the thickness?! I got to handle and try on the version with the bracelet at a Tudor Boutique. It made for a beautiful fit on my small wrist. All doubts about thickness and weight were obliterated. Definitely this timepiece is lighter and felt more balanced than the BB 41 ETA that I was wearing. The NATO was a great pairing and didnt bring a sense of being too thick or top heavy. And damn stylish it is to boot.

Staring through the crystal at the bewitching ceramic lume plots, I noticed the yellow GMT hand pointing mysteriously in the direction of the cashier's desk. At that point I had to put the watch down with a heavy heart and leave as quickly as possible to get my priorities in order. Good thing, as the Boutique assistant shared, the wait list is closed, "with a 4 year backlog" as she put it. Gives me time to sort out my priorities.

It's a good looking watch and something I would consider if I didn't have an Explorer II.

this is definitely not a 4 year backlog kind of watch. as great as this watch is, youll see these in the cases soon.

Reference point matters. Coming from the 41 mm ETA BB to the 39 mm BB Pro equates to a better wearing experience.

Coming from the BB58 to the BB Pro equates to a worse wearing experience.

Great looking BB Pro!

I don't understand the 4 year thing either. I put my name down at an AD in the UK and they called me within 2 weeks.
