Bought an Apple Watch, felt weird to have a small phone on my wrist but I liked how the watch felt on my wrist, started looking into actual watches and ended up getting a casio, then a hamilton, orient, dan henry, restored a vostok and my latest watch is a Sinn U50 (Dec 2022)
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
An Apple Watch series 3 was my first watch but my first serious watch was a Hamilton khaki auto on a bracelet with the black dial
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
A broken Vostok amphibian from the 80s I bought on a flea market in London during a family holiday, restored it myself and it was my first experience in "watch making"
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Cartier, at first I didn't view them as watch makers but once diving into this brand I discovered some amazing pieces, mostly the Cartier Santos in stainless steel in the medium size on a bracelet
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas dual time Everest limited edition, I love tool watches and I love vacheron and especially the overseas collection, and unlike the other models of the overseas collection (that are also incredible) the everest limited edition is a more tool, less luxury, it seems like vacheron prioritzed function over design in this watch unlike the other overseas models that feel luxury over tool
