After scouting micro brands to add to my collection, I went for Maen, here's my mk. IV Hudson no-date. This is my BB58, 62Mas, Submariner, etc. Call me mad but, though I never had experience with any of those, I look at my Maen and find myself thinking: "why would I add any of those when I have this for a fraction of the price?"
I think you may have a point, but not for the argument you stated.
A watch collector collects watches. A watch guy has 1 (maybe 2, 3?) watch(es) and that's it. They're not interested in growing their collection, but that doesn't mean they're not interested.
Flip a coin, and see if you like the outcome. That should bring you closer to the right choice.
For what it's worth, I would choose the Oris (though I would get it on a bracelet). But that choice is based on which of these two pieces would complement my collection, not yours.

I think most of us will never understand what it's like to have such an amount of money. These people think and speak in a language I don't understand.
So for mr. Rezaei to spend all that money to get to his grail watch, that's his perogative. We all heard the stories and I think most of us don't have this much disposable income. If we find ourselves in the position to buy THE watch, we want to spend our money on that watch, and nothing else.
But that's not the position that mr. Rezaei is in.
He made an agreement with the store, an agreement of which the store knew, that they couldn't hold up their end.
Yeah, I can understand his frustration. Glad he's taking action.
