This is just repro tat… which you can get on Amazon etc.
one clue is often IV vs IIII
IV - non watch people
IIII - watch people
I am sure there are historical exceptions. Also the odds of a restaurant having anything of horological merit seem slim to none. Hope the food was good!
Bremont‘s TRIP-TICK case design / construction is very weird… so make sure you know what the watch looks like from the side… because the top down view is deceiving.
You have to be OK with the Miyota movement... it keeps the cost low, but the whirly mechanism sounds... cheap.
I wish Eddie would drop in a 2824, or equivalent Sellita... it's clear people are willing to pay high prices on these based on the secondary market, so (IMO) there's room to ramp up the movement and just charge more out of the gate. That said, he's not going to do it because I think he likes to keep the price accessible and he's on to a good thing at the moment. Switching movements would be a headache for him.

If you are buying a watch into Canada, simple math is Price in CAD * 1.25
I know that is not exactly how it gets calculated, but it is bang on for me 99.99% of the time.
I've rarely been surprised when taking that approach...
Sometimes you see a "great price" online, and then do that math and it's like, "Ehmm maybe not"
