After wearing and enjoying watches my whole life but not ever learning about them or really getting into them, I became curious after seeing my colleague’s watches on the film sets I was working on. Like with many things before, I became pretty obsessed. I bought a green Seiko 5 sport which was my first time wearing a steel bracelet and wore it daily while working on my house and garden. I have a small collection of vintage watches and added a grand Seiko recently. Next stop Tudor I think.
Nice writing and photos! I enjoy setting and winding my watches. I have several vintage watches that are manual wind. Long power reserves are impressive but in my opinion; overrated.
The Doxa is a great choice. I was actually thinking of that very watch after writing the comment. Couldn't find that G-Shock online. Do you know the reference number?
Wow that G-Shock has amazing color! Speaking of color maybe your next one could have a colorful dial? And if you’re not into that, how about a vintage watch? And of course there are many great vintage reissues or reimaginations
The crystal is a lot of fun. It was very scratched and luckily the watchmaker found an identical one to replace it. I'm not too paranoid with watches. So far so good!
