Is seiko skx/srpd okay for small wrist?

I've recently purchased Seiko srpd51. Love the look! I always wanted a diver. But I still can't understand whether it's a good fit for my 6.25" (16cm) wrist. The size of 42.5 with small lug to lug probably okay, but the height seems large. Especially compared to my Hamilton Khaki 38mm. Still wearing Seiko feels pretty comfortable

Can anyone share their experience with the watch? Thanks!

First, if you like it and it's comfortable, don't worry about what others think.

Second, sometimes just a shot of the wrist can be deceiving, I have smallish wrists for my total body size, so when I take a shot of just the wrist the watch may look huge, but seen in a mirror, the watch blends in well when the whole body is taken into the equation.

But again, if you like it. Wear it.

what @UtahExplorer said.  If it feels comfortable and looks about the way you want it to, then it fits.  If not, then not.

As for the height, it's a diver style, so it tends to be taller.  Some of that is water resistance but a lot of that is stylistic.  You either like that or you don't (I tend to not really like diver styles on me but I'm in the minority).

FWIW, I think it looks pretty good.

Ditto. If it appeals to you…then that’s it. Choosing what kind of watch we want to wear on our wrist is not a fleeting privilege.

Thank you so much for your thoughts. I think this already can be an article :)

"if you have to ask, it's probably too big in your mind as well" - I agree that this is the main point here. For perfect watch I even won't have this question. I'll still give this Seiko a try, and if it will keep bothering - I'll look for something smaller

Thanks! I'll give it a try to understand whether I'm really comfortable with this Seiko :)

Thank you! As for the height, I'm still shocked because although Hamilton is just 2mm less, but visually it's a huge difference! (I understand that it's domed crystal vs diver bezel. but still)

An update on my experience: simply changing the strap has completely changed my vision! Now I extremely love how the watch looks, they don't look large to me at all. Of course I wouldn't wear it under a sleeve, but with a t-shirt I enjoy it for a last couple of days

No idea how this magic works, but I'm glad it happened to me 😀
