Site feedback?

Not sure if this is the right tag to post this in, but here we go. Of course, thanks for the great site, full of very friendly people, and no "watch snobs" that I've seen so far (you know the type).

A few bugs/issues I've noticed in the forum so far. In no particular order;

  1. Adding an image in the first post works for me (Firefox), but adding an image in a subsequent post seems to be broken, i.e. the image stays as a small version, rather than the full size with lightbox effect.
  2. Highlighting some text in a reply with the "quote" button in the text editor changes the text style to quote while composing, but once you publish, it goes back to normal text.
  3. Searching seems to be broken. For example, I knew I wanted to post with the #general tag, so I did a search first for "#general" but was told no results found. However, if I search for general, then click on the tags tab, there are results. Confusing...

5. Very slow site performance - page load, searching etc. Is it because of all the JavaScript? Have tried Firefox and Edge with the same result.

Anyway, cheers again for the platform, hope this helps make it even better 😀

Tagging one of the WatchCrunch crew to make sure this post is seen 😊 @Max

I can add #6 to the list too...

6. In the notifications (bell, top right), if you click on a notification that someone has commented on your post, it just takes you to the top of the post, not the comment which is arguably a better CX. Also, if someone likes your post, same thing. Arguably you should be taken to the last comment (assuming you're up to date with the comments on your own post).

I'll keep adding as I find things...

7. In notifications, you just get a long list of notifications (X commented on Y, A reacted to B etc) without being able to tell what it relates to. Maybe include some extra information in the notification to indicate the source? I was thinking of a tooltip, but that's not accessible and doesn't work on mobiles)

Not being picky, but I work in IT and it's part of my job to notice these things 😉
