YouTube and reading Hodinkee and getting to know more and more about movement, craftmanship and the soul of an watch.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
It was a Maxima classic dress watch back in 2010
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I own a 1896 Elgin pocket watch, a 126 year old pocket watch still keeps good time and in good condition. It’s amazing to live with such timepiece that witness all the history in last 12 decades.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
I strongly recommend collecting watches based on craftsmanships and movement. It is not necessary to be Rolex or holy grail RM and other expensive watches. You might get a gem sometime on eBay. As Kevin O Larry says every watch has a soul. Yes it also has a heart. The balance wheel.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Audemar Piguett Royal Oak 50th anniversary
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Rolex submariner date 126610ln. As I got this in AD and I saved the money for a while to witness my stay in Chicago.
