I started my interest with mechanical watches because I unknowningly ordered a Seiko SNK back in 2015. But the prices today are waaay off from yesteryears.
Which is why I've moved away from Seiko as a brand too.I feel buying used is the route that makes sense to me.
That said, this Prospex model in particular is lovely and I wouldn't fault anyone for getting it at the price it fetches. Watches make no logical sense 😵💫
