My first mechanical watch just in time for Christmas. Serica 5303 Crystal Blue
When I first got into mech watches, did I plan on having my first (and soon 2nd) watches being from a microbrand? nope.
I was leaning towards an Oris Bronze Pointer Date. but that's nearly 3k new.
When I first saw this I instantly fell in love and a quick email to Serica later (to confirm pre Christmas delivery), I'd placed my order.
it's such a beautiful watch and the finishing is top notch.
The two tone bezel with the crystal blue ceramic insert is just so unique. I think that's what sold me on the watch.
The mesh bracelet feels great to wear, and with the integrated end-links it goes super well with the watch.
the clasp does take some fiddling around to get it just right.
overall couldn't have asked for more.
In a month, I'll also have the 8315 desert red gmt, and if the quality of this watch is anything to go by, I cant wait to have it on my wrists.

Congrats on a lovely watch. I too was captivated with this watch when I first saw it early in my mechanical journey. Unfortunately I heard a few things that worried me about the movement and subsequent customer service so I put it on hold for a bit. Hoping to revisit at some point because it's lovely

the movement has changed from the problematic one, I had my initial doubts too, but reviews of this new cosc version won me over.
can't talk about customer service yet but the few emails I've exchanged with Serica/Jerome have been pleasant and helpful.
