Yeah the discussion is as old as Nomos is 😂 I always tell people, if the lugs are too long, get a smaller variant of the watch. The diameter is secondary the lug to lug needs to suit your arm.
Concerning this, I enjoy the size. the lugs are on the long side, but it's still wearable and the watch is super flat, plus the lugs are strongly curved to the wrist.
Here's a comparison for with the longines spirit 37mm. The lugs are a bit longer, but curve more.

Thank you for the tip, yes, I do see the difference compared to the spirit. I agree with your point on the diameter being secondary to the lug-to-lug. That’s part of why I love my Seiko Willard so much, the dimensions are perfect (for me). Even though the diameter is on the larger side at 42, because of the deep cushion case with the lug-to-lug of 46 it wears flat and very comfortable on the wrist. Cheers, enjoy your #nomos club!
