Hello everyone,
I guess more watch freaks like a good lume as I do. Today I try to capture some lume (and LED lighting) from my collection. Pictures are incomparable as there was a different exposure for every shot used. It's just a funny little exercise with little commentary for each watch. Feel free to add your lume shots.
Let's start with humble Seiko 5 SNZH57. Single-domed crystal can create an interesting effect.
Good old SKX007, all scars are from bike crash. Despite universal knowledge, this lume is not great by any means - it fades very quicky. There is not many layers of lume compound.
Sugess Chronograph - the weakest lume of them all. It's so weak, that it's almost impossible to capture it with the dial simultaneously. Even the lume grains are somewhat big. I don't even know how the index on 12 remains black...
Second Chinese watch, San Martin SN0116. Great watch, excellent workmanship and good lume. SM watches in general have pretty good lume, here there is not much surface area but lume is still pretty good.
Mighty LED in Casio F91. You can tell hours, when you tilt your hand a lot, then even minutes. It has some charm. I had to hold it steady for a full 2 seconds to have this result.
Swiss made Longinees Conquest and the second worst lume in this group. It's just pathetic - really.
RZE Endeavour and two-tone lume. Not a record-breaking but nice, far more powerful than SKX.
Laco Rostock, my oldest watch from 2013. Very strong lume, long lasting and beating most of the divers out there. I really like long exposure shot with fully lumed seconds hand.
Finally watch which has the longest lasting lume beating everything around - Wise AD8. Blue lume is not as bright as green one after exposure to light source but it's long lasting. I have tested this watch against other great lume watches for 10 hours in the darkness (Citizen BN0151 and Cronos LM6002) but Wise dethroned them easily.
