The new MM200 GMT... especially the limited edition😍😍

Went by my AD to drop my Seiko Presage GMT to fix the broken crown and I took a look at the new releases which were in stock.

First impression was the new MM200 GMT is big step up in terms of finishing for the mid tier Prospex models. The $1000 models were already finished more than well for the price but this GMT finishing is as good as entry level GS models. The framed lume pip on the ceramic bezel is flush with the bezel insert giving it a very clean and seamless look which is really a nice detail and made me think if it was just painted on dot. The bracelet is much better, lighter and feels more articulated but has the Seiko's diver clasp cause the watch is still a ISO rated diver. I was wearing my SPB239 and the MM200 GMT felt thinner and lighter with all the links, and that watch is 42mm.

I just got to try on the black variant and limited edition SPB385 which was already reserved thankfully (or would have been a impulse purchase definitely). Couldn't get a glimpse of the green variant since it was sold out and apparently is the best seller with a big pre-order list out of the two standard models.

Now I'm left thinking if I should get the standard MM200 save the ocean or this GMT variant 😅

I’m a big fan of the Save the Oceans variants from Seiko.

I’ve got to see these new models in person one of these days 😃

Oh - and glad the presage is getting some TLC !

You should definitely. Seiko really stepped up with this model. I'm still waiting to check out the green variant before I decide on the standard MM200 variant.

Thankfully the Presage will be back in one week if the part is available 👌🏽
