Timex Quartz TW2V12800LG Field watch review

I recieved the Timex TW2V12800LG quartz field watch in December of last year, and frankly, it’s been an absolute joy to wear.😀 I’ve worn it a lot, almost too much I admit. 😅

The case:

“Brown steel” -according to the website I got it from, the case is just made of “Brown steel”. I have no idea what that means. 🤷‍♂ It might just be 304L steel, or maybe, just maybe, it’s 316L. It looks nice though, so no complaints there! The case diameter comes in at a nice 40mm wide, a nice size for a field watch. It measures 10mm thick.

Dial:

The dial is a classic, brown field watch design with a date window. Not a lot going on here, except the luminescence on the dial. The movement lights up the whole dial at the press of the crown, and looks very nice.

Movement:

The movement is the Timex Chinese made caliber M905, with a date display. The movement utilizes Timex Indiglo luminescence to light up the whole dial.

Strap:

The strap is a nylon canvas nato strap, it looks really good. 👍 Although I’m sure it’s made in china, and really cheaply at that! 😂 Overall quality is pretty nice.

In conclusion:

It’s a really nice watch, especially at 50 US dollars, I would definitely recommend this watch to anyone looking for a cheap, nice, reliable field watch! The case is awesome, the dial is beautiful, and the indiglo luminescence doubles as a torch. 😂

I hope you had a great read!
