First Watch Build (NH34 GMT)
Not sure I'm exactly happy with it. I wanted something different from what I already own.
So I chose rose gold and a GMT.
The seconds hand I beleive was incorrectly sized as I couldn't for the life of me get it to mount. I had a spare seconds hand I removed from another watch (NH35) that I was able to mount just fine. Removed it and attempted again to mount the new rose gold seconds hand and still could not get it to mount.
I ended up mounting the junk bin seconds hand for now. Though I think I am going to swap all the hands anyway. Just not loving these. Perhaps it's the GMT hand, just too out of place.
Anyway, here it is. Can't decide if I should go with a dark brown strap or a black suede. Leaning toward black suede.
Edit: ordered a new dial, new second and GMT hands and a black suede strap. 💪🏼

Happens all the time. I would say that about one in five of AliExpress second hands is out of spec. Hour and minute hands are more forgiving, even if out of spec. And yes, you are right, I would go back to the original second hand. Overall a very nice an consistent build!

I've ordered as much as 20 at a time, reason being that even with a particular set of hands I also like to vary the second hand. It's similar with hand sets, but not that extreme. But if something works well for you, it may not be wrong to stock up. (I'm sure those lovely cathedral hands would also work great on a field watch.)
Great build. Although I'm not a fan of cathedral hands, I think they look alright with this build since the rose gold adds a retro look.
The GMT hand however looks very plasticy and out of place. It clashes with the rest of the coherent parts/colors you picked and it's too eye-catching compared to the "main" set of hands.
Nice job! I do like the other seconds hand better. And brown suede would look great! 👍

I was just sitting here thinking I could keep this dial and hands for a field watch and try something else for this case.
Back to the drawing board.
