Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
I’ve always worn a watch. A few years ago I started caring more about what watch I wear everyday and now here we are.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Some Citizen monstrosity with an integrated bracelet from the 90’s. If I looked hard enough I’m sure it’s knocking around in a box somewhere.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Not so much an interesting story but I have a Hamilton khaki that was a gift from my mother. It’s not the best watch in the collection but it probably means the most.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Make your mistakes with more affordable watches while you learn your preferences. Better to figure out you don’t like chronographs with a seagull 1963 than with a Daytona.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Vintage King Seiko
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Zenith El Primero. Firstly, they’re fantastic looking watches that also happen to look good on my wrist. Secondly, they are exceedingly cool and priced really well considering what you get. Great story to them as well.
