I went with the Santos (I would recommend the mid size based on a 36mm being your current size) Most people will go with the sub, however my wife had a 36mm date just, she wore my GMT and it was to big for wrist.
On the rubber strap works for me. I wear all my watches on rubber, leather or NATO and this is my style. So when looking at it and if I ever wanted to add a precious metal piece into the collection then this would be one of my choices
For me under 10k.
Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Stainless steel - Anthracite AB0118221B1P1 | Breitling GB
If you can stretch little further or look into the grey market.
Premier B25 Datora 42 Stainless steel - Copper AB2510201K1P1 | Breitling GB
Lot of watch for the money
I'm all about what it'm wearing.... not saying that i'm stylish (i do try) but if i'm in a suit for an important meeting then i wear something that on a strap that's discreet, off swimming or adventure in something on rubber or NATO.
I have an alternative, being the TAG WBP201.AFT6197 (shop around and get for under £2.2k)
However from the list i would choose the Omega
