I wonder what social network framework this site is based on... Have had this G-Shock GW2500B for 10+ years. In the first few years I literally never...
I had used Apple Watches for a few years in the past. Extremely useful for me to not miss any notifications. I've seen people complaining about the notifications being distracting. My argument is this:
The notifications are designed to distract you from your current work, because they are supposedly important! If that's not the case for you, you need to either turn off some of the notifications, or set up your do not disturb better. I mean if they are not important, why having them in the first place?
Yeah, I'd say the fact that people are still wearing these mechanical watches and some of the watch sell for such a price is among the weirdest things on the planet...
Think about other hobbies that are nerdy and expansive: photography, high-end PC, hi-fi, super cars. The equipments are expensive for sure, but they all give performance advantage over the average cheap ones.
In this sense mechanical watches are like the traditional movable type---new technology completely over-shadows the old in a technical sense. However nowadays people do movable type purely for nostalgic reasons (I think?), but it's still something else in the watch community.
Yeah, I'm now actually torn between Seiko 5 & the Kamasu (2?). The Kamasu has a lot of pros over the Seiko (sapphire crystal, 200m), but the Seiko has a see-through back 🤔
