I love German watchmaking and design philosophy. I've been on a lookout for this Bauhaus classic. This one is 38 mm, perfect size for a dress watch for my 7,5" wrist. Housing a quality ETA quartz movement, it wears paper thin at only 8 mm. A good chunk of that is taken by the highly domed acrylic crystal reminiscent of vintage pieces. It's a timeless piece very welcome to my collection.
I love the little tinkering associated with a new used watch purchase. I really enjoy caring for my watches, as I'm sure many of you do too. Tomorrow I'll go get a new battery and hope it starts ticking away. If so, I might need to start dressing better for an excuse to have this lovely piece on my wrist more often.

Nice catch, man! No one makes Bauhaus as good as Junghans

Thanks!
Is that a Max Bill design?

It sure is! These even have his signature engraved on the case back.
Nice. I’ve been looking at those. Love the Bauhaus design. I recently got this Sternglas. Similar vibe.

That's a dope looking watch, love the colors. But you're right, Sternglas even makes a minimalist white dial watch that is pretty much direct competition to this Junghans. Both are very Bauhaus-inspired watchmakers and the connection is distinct.
I’m right with you there, Kimmo! I’ve got this smaller black mechanical one.
The whole new watch feeling is such a buzz.
That is a beautiful watch and I firmly believe will ALWAYS be a beautiful watch.
..For when you calm down…

Thank you! That works so well in black too. But thanks for ruining everything, now after seeing that I really wish I had a no date version too😁 I think it suits this watch a lot better, or frankly any dress watch. Or really any watch, I don't really care for the date😄
Great choice!
I've been looking at the manual wound version of this since I got into watches. These are beautiful little watches! Also I love how the ETA quartz movements look! Enjoy it! 🔥
