Agree what others explained. The policy in place is also dependent on how the order management system or software works from order to production to delivery etc.
My rule of thumb ... buy what you like and can afford without affecting both your short n long financial goals. For big purchases I prefer to take my time n see if I like another piece better. There will always be another piece I want to buy ... that's the greedy mind thinking... just need to quiet the mind n slow down.
I like to keep it simple ... end of day reviewers earn their money thru ads .. paid reviews ... sponsored reviews ... promoting their online or physical shops or getting free products etc ... whatever n however you term it. Always treat the reviews with a pinch of salt n go thru a couple to get a broader view esp if you are preparing to buy a particular product. I will be naive n dumb to think a reviewer is totally unbiased or don't drive a certain agenda. 😐
Just wear the expensive n preferred ones on special occasions. Wear your beaters daily. Learn to live with scratches else you will just feel miserable instead of enjoying the hobby. ✌️
