EDC - build quality

I鈥檓 a big fan of build quality, EB, Porsche and Gerber all have that in common. Not the most expensive, not always the most desirable but none of them will let you down.

Sadly an old picture and the 997 now moved on, new car and new watch coming soon.

A good joiner away has a bit of sandpaper in there pocket along with all that other stuff haha

If you had to take one into a survival situation, which one would you pick?

I've only looked closely at one EB in person and although it seemed perfectly good, the level of finishing didn't stand-out as being above some of the better rivals in it's price range. Come to that, the quality of some Porsche models can be wanting, witness the early Boxster compared to the 968 it replaced...

Having put the EB through hell, it may not be the most elegant on the market (although I鈥檝e never come across a bad one personally) it is absolutely bomb proof - literally. Re Porsche, I should鈥檝e probably specified 911, the only real Porsche IMO.

Leatherman is a superb choice - can鈥檛 rate the sandpaper as an office worker with soft hands but I鈥檒l take your word that it鈥檚 a good one 馃ぃ

The EB, can tell the time, can be used as a compass and with a good flint will light you a fire. Plus it鈥檚 important to look cool when the rescuers find your body 馃ぃ
