I can't even remember. It happened around when I turned 50.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Mido, back in the 70ies; a gift from my godfather.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Sturmanskie Gagarin - Quartz, low quality, but it's about the history.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Think twice: Do you REALLY really really like that watch. Don't buy by impulse, think again, and when you know that this is the one, go for it, maybe save until you can afford it. Good used ones do the trick, too. But always buy from trustworthy sources, even if you might pay a bit more.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Jaeger LeCoultre - currently my non plus ultra, but pretty expensive.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
The Jaeger LeCoultre Master Control - I don't know why. Is it the history, the aesthetics - it's love at first sight. Gotta save for it.
