Great insight! I think for me it was about the journey, after I purchased my first Rolex (it was my dream to buy a Rolex) for a bargain price, I saw the prices go up and up and after two years of using it I sold it. I guess the appeal was gone once I got it and used it.

It´s important to remember that a lot of the perceived quality and "prestige" comes from decades of marketing, so don´t get sucked into that.
