MoonSKMEI: Starry-starry Night
Another mod of the moonswatch “homage” by SKMEI (1982). This time I decided to mod the “Neptune” version as the latest moonswatch release was the Blue Moon. It made me wonder what my take of the Neptune would look like.
I think sometimes when we tried to make a particular art piece, the art decided to go its own way. This is what kinda happen when I started to paint on the dial. I never meant it to look how it is right now but somehow it just does.
Maybe it’s because there’s a Van Gogh’s art exhibition in my city but my painting started to look like it’s inspired his “Starry Night” painting. So I just lean even harder to the style.
Here’s the final result.
Painting this watch dials has been so much fun.

Thanks! I use a combination of Acryclic paint and poster paint.
Just acrylic mixed with clear coat varnish.
Does the varnish help it to harden better? I tried to use acrylic for the case before but it just peeled off to easily
