Scratching the itch with a new band.
Over the last week or so, I’d been eyeing a couple of 38mm black dial watches on black leather straps. It felt gluttonous given that I’ve already bought a couple of watches in 2023, so I was holding back on pulling the trigger, and then I remembered that I already own a 38mm watch with a black dial. Rather than buying a new watch, then, I thought I’d throw a leather strap on my Rangemaster and see how I like it. Turns out I love it! Not only does it beat down the monkey on my back, it also takes the rugged vibe of the watch and adds a dimension of dressiness that it didn’t have while on the steel bracelet.
